Midland East Power Ltd is a subsidiary of Midland Power Co. Ltd. a 150 MW HFO based private power generation plant at Ashugonj, Brahmanbaria. The only product of the company is electricity which will be offloaded to the national grid through Bangladesh Power Development Board.

Currently the company is looking for the following position:
 
Job Title : Manager - (Mechanical)
 

Job Description / Responsibility:
   
  • Schedule and unscheduled maintenance of engines & its auxiliaries in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines to minimize Outage and optimum utilization of spare parts of HFO based power plants.
  • Ensure Schedule maintenance is carried out as per planning during low load demand of NDLC to minimize Outage.
  • Coordinate with the Operation Dept. for smooth operation of plant & trouble shooting as & when required.
  • Assist Plant Head regarding upcoming maintenance.
  • Analysis of all trips and events. Prevention of the events in future with improved procedures and rectifications.
  •  Modify, repair, re-fix and adjust all sorts of mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation for maintenance.
  • Regularly develop preventive and corrective maintenance system.
  • Raise spare requisition for schedule and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure work place safety, procedure and checklist followed for any mechanical job.
  • Bring up EHS concerns to the attention of EHS department.
  • Be vigilant in the work area, identify and report to Plant Head about imminent dangers / hazards / concerns to environment, health and safety.
  • Continue review work procedures to enhance safety and reliability of the plant.
  • Follow company policy, security and cost effectiveness.
  • Follow other jobs assigned by the management.
Educational Requirements:
   
  • B. Sc Engineer (Mechanical)
  • Preference will be given to the Candidates of BUET, RUET, KUET and CUET.
Experience Requirements:
   
  • 8+ years in relevant field
