Position: Assistant Manager, Audit & Internal Control

The incumbent will report to the Manager, Audit & Internal Control. S/he will be primarily responsible for:

  • Scrutinize/check project, CWH, B&C expenses, and operational expenses (bills and vouchers) to authenticate and verification the expenses.
  • Checking cash purchase bills from MB, MC, Corporate, etc, and place to the supervisor for signing.
  • Physical bill verification, especially work done by the project department where work changes need to be validated.
  • Market rate justification & area-wise market survey of top moving perishable items (e.g. fish & meat, vegetables, fruits, groceries, etc.).
  • Conduct cash audit at Meena Bazar, Meena Click, Head Office, CWH and submit a report based on the findings.
  • Visiting the source market to get information on the product price, quality, and suppliers, and provide feedback to the management.
  • Physical verification of completed and ongoing project work.
  • Checking DSD vendor’s GRN to ensure on-time entry of the received products in the system so that smooth operation can be run and updated information can be generated from the system.
  • Checking debit and credit notes created from the outlets to ensure proper documentation of the accounting activities.
  • Checking club card point redemption process and membership process are completed duly.
  • Special outlet compliance audit during the Eid period in Dhaka.
  • Conduct different surveys when necessary.
  • Physical inventory/ stock verification and prevention the stock loss, theft etc.
  • Audit compliance related to Consumer Rights, BSTI, and Food Safety Committee at the store level to abide by Govt. rules & regulations.
  • Physical presence as a visit to vendor establishment and checking the Audit Compliance of production.
  • In-depth value chain study to justify/ Audit pricing strategy.
  • Any other task assigned by the reporting supervisor/management.

Required Skills:

  • M.B.A. in Accounts or Finance from a reputed University.
  • At least 4-6 years of job experience in Audit team. Preferable in Retail Industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to change priorities.
  • Computer skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) & Outlook.
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • Positive attitude to visit the Outlets on regular basis.
  • Able to ready to work in odd hours when necessary.

Educational Requirements:

  • MBA in Business Administration

Experience Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years in relevant field

Additional Requirements:

  • Age 28 to 38 years
  • Should have good communication skills in both Bengali and English
