We seek a dynamic and motivated professional to join our Business Development team as an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in strategizing, planning, and executing business development initiatives to drive growth in the heavy equipment rental sector, specifically focusing on foreign EPC contractors and major infrastructure projects. Proficiency in the Chinese language will be an added advantage.
Qualification: B.Sc. in EEE/Mechanical Engineering or a related field from any reputed University.
Experience: Have five to seven years of experience in a similar sector.
Job Description:
- Market Analysis & Business Opportunities:
- Identify potential business opportunities in the heavy equipment rental market, particularly within ongoing and upcoming infrastructure, power, and oil & gas projects in Bangladesh.
- Proactively gather and analyze information about infrastructure projects through communication with government offices (e.g., PGCB, BPDB, RHD, DESCO, DPDC, CPA, CPGCL, etc.).
- Client & Team Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between the business development team and clients to foster continuous acquisition of new business.
- Establish and nurture strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Business Negotiations & Proposals:
- Receive and evaluate RFQs from EPC clients and convert them into successful business deals.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize deals with foreign EPC clients.
- Operational Support & Planning:
- Prepare heavy lift plans, work procedures, and method statements for operations.
- Monitor the billing process, track accounts receivable, and coordinate with the Accounts team to ensure timely payments.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement operational improvement plans based on client feedback and business analysis.
- Develop innovative approaches to optimize processes and improve client satisfaction.
- Miscellaneous:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the organization’s goals.
Additional Requirement:
- Fluency in Chinese language is preferred, with excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of the infrastructure, energy, and oil & gas sectors in Bangladesh.
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals, negotiations, and deal closures.
- Proficient in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
