Cost & Estimation Engineer (Civil)

Job Context : We require sincere, hardworking and qualified “Estimation Engineer-Civil” who  have more than five years practical knowledge in this relevant field.

Job Description / Responsibility

• Prepare detailed estimates for different projects.
• Inviting quotations from Agency/vendors for materials and services and suggesting the management team about the most cost-effective option.
• Develop multi-discipline concepts, detailed and definitive cost estimates for Company Capital Projects.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation statement of building material.
• Interact with multiple organizations to review, discuss project scope and estimate basis and consult on company estimating methods/procedures.
• Material Reconciliation- To check theoretical consumption of steel, cement & other material supplied free of cost to the contractor and make recovery in case of excess Consumption & wastage.
• Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of project
• Liaise with stakeholders and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information and data.
• Analysis of rates of Non BOQ items.
• Ensure supplier quotations meet ‘should cost’ estimates
• Liaise with purchasing department to provide continued feedback to ensure competitive pricing.
• Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions.
• Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
• Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review.
• Review of Tender documents on receipt to ensure its completeness.
• Knowledge of prepare BOQ according to PWD & LGED rate system.

Educational Requirements

• B.Sc. in Civil Engg. from any Public University. OR
• With extensive related experience diploma Civil Engineer may also apply.

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 year(s) for B.Sc Engg.
• At least 10 year(s) for Diploma Engg.

Job Requirements

• Age At least 25-35 year(s).
• Only males are allowed to apply.
• Should be honest, sincere, dynamic, hardworking & willing to work under pressure.
• Sound Knowledge on BNBC, ASCE, AISC, UBC, BS, ACI code.
• Hardworking attitude & ability to work under pressure.
• Must be expert in design related software and also capable to hand calculation.
• Should have vast knowledge about making BOQ such as industrial building, wire house, Factory shade Building, multi-storied steel building, Commercial Building and foundation work.
• The incumbents/applicants should have experience in the following areas: Engineering firms, steel building firms, steel structure production.
