Job Context
Responsible for implementing production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Manage KPIs and ensure preventive actions are taken to maximize success. Work in a labor-intensive production environment and the Japanese Factory Manager and American team reviewed project milestones.
Job Description/Responsibilities
- Management of organizational and Manpower
- Cost conscious: reducing production cost in any aspect while keep in high quality.
- Should have strong communication skills to coach, train, and motivate employees.
- Evaluate Production Staff to build a competent team of support.
- Seek-out non-value-added activities for elimination.
- Monitor and track labor to estimate workforce and implement labor saving initiatives.
- Ensure accurate & optimal capacity planning while ensuring cost reduction & increased profitability.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean Production System vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Review and manage SOP and ensure all employees perform tasks accordingly.
- Reviewing Production schedule, which provided from the production control with capacity and strength along with ensuring timely shipment through strong production follow-up.
- Leading the production team to deliver quality finished products according to the production plan.
- Always be updated on production status, whether it is meeting the Production plan or not; if not, then make a root cause analysis and give a quick solution for a smooth operation.
- Set department objectives/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Ability to multi-task and assume various positions on team projects.
- Work closely with various departments to optimize quality and performance.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
Job Nature: Full-time
Educational Requirements
- B.Sc. in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from any reputed university.
- Licensing or Certifications for Lean Manufacturing is preferred.:MBB, ACE, ISO, ISO9001, EBE, OPEX, LSS, PMP, CQE, ASQ
Experience Requirements
- At least 20 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Engineering Firms, and Manufacturing (FMCG).
- It is better if an experience at a Japanese Manufacturing Company as a Manager.
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 40 to 50 years
- Well capable of Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Leading and Controlling Capabilities.
- Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in English.
- Should be knowledgeable in manufacturing management method below.
Production costing, Lean Production System, TPM, ISO9001, ISO14001, or IATF16949, and Ability to effectively handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
