Position: Associate Manager, Procurement (Commercial/ Logistics)

Job Responsibilities

  • Dealing with Customs Authorities, defining Value Assessment/ HS Codes, attending Customs hearing and also deal with the different Government Bodies like NBR, CCI&E, DOE, DGDA etc.
  • Assist Procurement Manager in all procurement activities covered within the scope of Procurement Organization
  • Ensure quality and timely schedule at a competitive price as per the requirement
  • Preparation of insurance claim proceeds, reports on a need basis and provide various management information as and when required
  • Analyse the local market information regarding supplier and material price, other qualitative and quantitative issue, develop new and potential vendors.
  • Plan procurement operations in consultation with superior for scheduling, priority setting, and avoiding duplication and so on.
  • Co-ordinate with other functions regarding comparative of different offer, enquiry, follow up to the point of use for local purchase including printing material,
  • Process Purchase Orders of Corporate Office and other locations centrally.
  • Process insurance claims within stipulated time and follow up for realizing the claim, sending monthly statement of Insurance Claims to Central Accounts and process C&F Agent bill & other bills of the department for payment.
  • Follow up and ensure timely renewal of all insurance policies & other policies also.
  • Maintain proper record of LPOs and other documents of the department.
  • Perform other jobs as assigned.
 

Educational Requirements

  • Masters/ Graduation preferably in Business/ Engineering
  • Certification (s) in Supply Chain Management will be considered as added qualification.

Experience Requirements

  • 5-7 years relevant experience preferably in a large or multinational organization.

Additional Requirements if any

  • Strong communications skills (effective presentations at all levels, negotiation, conflict resolution)
  • Understanding of the procurement system and procedures
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills and ability to influence executives in a multi-cultural environment
  • Knowledge and experience in e-commerce.
