Request for proposals for Developing Organizational Strategic Plan Background: The Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society (LEDARS) is a non-profit and non-political organization that has been working since 1996 to promote the social, economic, and environmental development of poor and marginalized communities in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh. LEDARS is registered with both the Department of Social Welfare and the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Government of Bangladesh. Over the past decades, LEDARS has become a leading organization in the areas of climate change adaptation, climate resilience, gender equity, nature-based solutions, environmental conservation, safe drinking water and WASH, sustainable livelihoods, youth empowerment, and ecological sustainability. Its innovative and community-driven approaches have earned national and international awards including the prestigious Zayed Sustainability Prize 2023 for outstanding contributions to sustainable development. Committed to transparency, accountability, and effective resource utilization, LEDARS continuously strives to strengthen its internal systems and operational efficiency. As the organization grows in scope and complexity, it recognizes the importance of revisiting its strategic direction and institutional framework to remain responsive to emerging challenges and opportunities. In this context, LEDARS seeks to develop a comprehensive Organizational Strategic Plan (OSP) for 2026-2030 to guide its mission implementation, enhance organizational sustainability, strengthen partnerships, and align with national and global development priorities-such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, and the Bangladesh Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan. Purpose of the Assignment: The main purpose of this consultancy is to facilitate the development of a participatory and evidence-based Strategic Plan for LEDARS that defines its vision, mission, core values, strategic goals, objectives, and implementation framework for the next five years.
