Position: Deputy Manager / Asst .Manager - Taxation, VAT & Corporate Affairs, Labaid Group

Educational & other requirements:

  • Masters / MBA in Accounting/Finance from a reputed University/Institute
  • Professional certification (ICMAB Qualified/CA Part qualified with ITP) is essential for the post
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience is a must         
  • High level of language proficiency (English and Bangla–both verbal and written)
  • Computer Literacy: Advance level of skill sets using MS Excel & PowerPoint.

Major Job Requirements: 

  • Corporate and individual tax planning for future period and tax planning for finalization of assessment of Company's and Individual
  • Preparation of annual Tax return and Tax audit for all business unit.
  • Ensure submission of Income Tax return in due time along with the required documents.
  • Prepare and execute the individual tax files of all directors of the Group.
  • Oversee employee-related TAX deduction, employee-related company tax return submission/filing.
  • Attend hearing before the DCT, Appellate Commissioner & Appellate Tribunal and ADR for finalization of assessment.
  • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the time frame.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks as well as review the Audited Financial Statements in the light of Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 with a view to reduce the disallowances.
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance process and coordinate tax audits with Tax authorities and Lawyers.
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
  • Monitor monthly TDS/VDS deduction from the applicable heads of accounts and deposit to the Govt. exchequer.
  • Preparation & submission of information regarding payment of salary U/S-108, withholding tax return u/s 75A.
  • Prepare and maintain share transfer and share allotment of the Group.
  • Prepare legal documents such as Memorandum and Articles of Association, Trust deed and rules and regulations and lease agreement, etc.
  • All others type of RJSC related work
  • Monthly VAT Return preparation and submission
  • Handle and dealing all sorts of VAT matters of the group
