Position: Head of Finance & Accounts
Job Context: We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance & Accounts to plan, implement, report, manage and run all the financial activities of our Hospital in Dhaka. The person should ensure the hospital’s financial practices align with the overall vision, mission and goals, optimizing financial performance, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hospital’s mission and long-term goals.
- Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the MD and executive team for decision-making.
- Monitor and manage the hospital’s financial performance, including revenue cycle, cost management, and profitability.
- Ensure efficient financial operations, including billing, collections, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Optimize cash flow management and working capital.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present financial reports to the Board of Directors, executive team, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks, including those related to investments, liabilities, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, tax laws and other financial legal requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Manage the hospital’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
- Oversee capital investments, including equipment purchases, facility improvements, and technology upgrades.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial management with operational needs and goals.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other relevant task assigned by the MD.
Educational Requirements:
- Professional qualification: FCA/ FCMA or ACA/ ACMA.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years (At least 05 years in a leadership/ similar position).
Additional Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in financial management with a significant portion in healthcare or hospital finance.
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role with a strong track record of managing complex financial operations in a healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare financial regulations, reimbursement models and revenue cycle management.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
