Job Responsibilities
- To be ahead of trends in fabric, style, patterns and techniques.
- To forecast demand and identify colors, fabrics, textures, patterns, prints, etc.
- Producing unique and attractive apparel designs for various brands.
- Creating new designs based on brand concepts.
- Designing prints, jacquard and dobby patterns, check and stripe patterns for new fabric development.
- Collaborating with product developers to create garment patterns and specs for production team.
- Developing best-selling styles for traditional, casual and formal wear for men’s, women’s and kids.
- Developing different collections throughout the year that must be trend-led and tailored towards the brand’s current customer base. Need to have analytical knowledge on seasonal trend forecasts to create successful commercial products.
- Coordinating with product development, merchandising and other related departments in day to day activities.
- Sourcing and developing fabrics, trims and accessories as per buyer specifications.
- Follow up on sample development and monitor sample section activities.
- The role will include some overseas travel to the factories for development, fabric & trim sourcing.
Educational Requirements
- Graduate in Fashion Design from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 2 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fashion Designing, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
- The applicants should have proper knowledge and experience in working with various fabrics, trims and accessories.
