Educational Qualification

- Certification in Land Surveying or Property Law (Optional, but advantageous)

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Land Officer to join our team. This role requires expertise in land measurement and an understanding of land-related documentation and legalities. The Land Officer will assist in managing and overseeing the company's land-related operations, ensuring smooth execution of land sales, measurements, and related documentation.
Position Overview:
The Land Officer will play a critical role in supporting the company's land sales and development operations. This includes conducting land measurements, preparing documentation related to land transactions, and ensuring that all land-related information is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of land measurement techniques, legal requirements, and land ownership processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Land Measurement & Survey Support:
- Land Measurement: Conduct and verify land measurements on-site using tools such as measuring tapes, GPS devices, and other land measurement instruments. Ensure accuracy in land size calculations and boundaries.
- Survey Coordination: Collaborate with surveyors and external agencies to ensure accurate land surveys and boundary verifications.
- Land Mapping: Assist in preparing land maps and property boundaries for sale documentation and land listings.
Land Documentation & Legal Compliance:
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare and maintain land-related documents, including sale agreements, transfer documents, title deeds, and other necessary paperwork for land transactions.
- Land Records Management: Maintain and organize records of land ownership, sales transactions, and property titles. Ensure all records are compliant with legal standards and easily accessible for reference.
- Legal Knowledge: Assist in ensuring land transactions comply with local land laws, zoning regulations, and property rights. Stay updated on any changes in land-related legislation.
Client & Sales Support:
- Client Inquiries: Handle client queries regarding land measurements, property boundaries, and available plots. Provide accurate information on land-related matters.
- Property Verifications: Conduct on-site property verification, ensuring that all land specifications (size, boundary, zoning) match the official records.
- Sales Coordination: Work closely with the sales team to support the land sales process by providing essential information, conducting land assessments, and assisting with property viewings.
Coordination with Government and Legal Bodies:
- Land Titles & Approvals: Assist in coordinating with local authorities, government bodies, and legal advisors to ensure that all land documentation is in order, including land titles, ownership verification, and other approvals.
- Land Registration: Support the registration process for new land transactions and work with legal teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory bodies.
Land Research & Reporting:
- Land Research: Research and gather information about land properties, zoning laws, ownership history, and other relevant details that impact the land sales process.
- Report Generation: Generate regular reports on land inventory, sales performance, and land documentation status for internal use and management review.
Additional Qualifications:
- Land Measurement Knowledge: Solid understanding of land measurement techniques, property boundaries, surveying methods, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools.
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with land ownership processes, property titles, zoning regulations, and land transaction laws.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain land-related information to clients, legal teams, and sales staff.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when dealing with land measurements, records, and legal documentation.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with GIS software or land measurement tools is an advantage.
