Job Context

Head of Audit and Compliance in a large Tea Estate. Actual Audit Experience in Tea Garden from an Audit Firm will be highly preferred. Working experience as a planter or in Tea Estate in Control and Finance will be acceptable.  THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO CHAIRMAN. Please apply who are actually experienced in Internal Audit, Internal Control & Compliance for a large operation and willing to stay in Tea Estate located in Moulavibazar, Sylhet.

Job Responsibilities

• To evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal control system.
• Frequent visit of Estates, Factories to ensure Morning Muster, Attendance and other compliance related issues
• To assist in controlling cost, safeguarding assets and ensuring company norms in operation.
• To detect fraud & error and assessing risk of operation and recommending to prevent the same.
• To checks bills and vouchers of various operation of the Estates.
• To recommend sound policy for establishing ideal system.
• Conducting internal audits, process reviews into operational, financial and compliance areas.
• Tracking of open audit issues and follow up for closure of action points, including helping the business to close the issues.
• Conducting special audits / investigations / projects relating to controls as required from time to time.
• Identifying areas of cost reduction, process improvement including development of SOPs for critical areas.
• Partner with the business on any new initiative from internal controls point of view.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Master’s degree in any discipline
• Bachelors & Masters in any discipline with ACA/CA/CMA/ACMA Course completed will get preference
• Skills Required: Audit and assurance services, Audit investigation, Compliance Audit, Procurement Process, SOP Development

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
  
• Compliance, Internal Audit, Internal Control Systems

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  
• Manufacturing (FMCG), Tea Garden

Additional Requirements

• Age 35 to 50 years
• Working Experience in Tea Garden from Audit Firms.
