A right based independent National Policy Advocacy and Networking Organization committed to the promotion and strengthening of human rights, land rights development is looking for a Program Officer.
Position Name: Program Officer-1 post
This is a mid-level position (grade-IIIB) with the key responsibility of a three years project on “Tenure rights over land and collective farming processes of landless poor and marginalized in Bangladesh” covering the entire range of programme implementation including partnership management in efficient and effective manner.
Requirements:
- She/he must have a Master’s degree in social science or any related discipline from any recognized university with minimum second class and at least one 1st Class/Division;
- 5 years plus working experience in project/programme implementation in development/NGO sector and highly competent in rapport building with multi-stakeholders, writing reports, conduction/facilitating workshop, trainings and meetings. Computer skills MS Office, internet and commitment are prerequisites for the position;
- The incumbent also have strong competency in English, land rights/issues and sensitivity towards gender, indigenous peoples and other marginalized communities;
- This position is based in Dhaka but with regular travel to project’s areas. Monthly field visit is required 7-10 days.
We offer an enabling and supportive work environment; competitive compensation and total benefit package between Tk. 60,000 to Tk. 65,000 per month depending on experience and qualification.
The contract will initially be for a period of two years and three months including six months Probationary period. The post may be renewed after completing initial contract period based on performance and/or availability of fund.
