Production Associate (Two positions)

Working title: Production Associate
Employee group (Full time/Part-time/Limited/Casual): Full Time
Schedule (hours/days): 40 hours in a week starting from Sunday through Thursday
Location:  Dhaka, Bangladesh

Job Summary                                                                        

Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs (CCP) is hiring two Production Associate for a USAID-funded integrated health program focused on capacity strengthening and behavior change in four distinct health areas: Nutrition, Family Planning, Tuberculosis, Maternal and Child Health.

The Production Associate, working with the production and program teams of the USAID Ujjiban Social and Behavior Change Communication Project, will be mainly responsible for executing the production activities of the Project. They will support the delivery of social media, TV and radio production activities, other project related work.

The successful candidates must be good communicator and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and varied skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, good production management skills, ability to be productive and resourceful. The Production Associate will report to the SBCC Advisor.

Specific duties & responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Program Management

  • Assist in project activities, with direction
  • Produce documents, presentations as needed
  • Maintain frequent, open, ongoing communication with program team members
  • Liaise with internal and external people
  • Liaise and coordinate with vendors
  • Adhere to JHU, CCP and donor rules, regulations and policies
  • Undertake any other administrative and coordination duties requested by the supervisor

People Management

  • Coordinate with artists, celebrities, experts, contributors and engage them in social media production
  • Coordinate outreach activities in schools, colleges, universities

Technical Work

  • Assist Ujjiban transmedia team in planning and implementing audiovisual production
  • Assist the team in planning and implementing social media production
  • Engage in pre-production and filming of contents for social media
  • Assist in editing audiovisuals
  • Assist in TV and radio production, other project related activities

Professional and Organizational Growth

  • Stay abreast of technical updates in the field
  • Proactively seek opportunities to expand skills

Minimum qualifications (mandatory):

Technical qualifications or specialized certifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of partners in multiple sectors.
  • Must be able to travel to districts regularly.     
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple partners.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage difficulty, timely, and complex issues with diplomacy and tact while holding steadfast to principles with staff, partners, and funders.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate and conduct meetings and synthesize large amounts of data to produce research reports (graphs, tables) and presentations in both English and Bangla.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to ensure adherence to applicable donor rules and regulations and local in-country laws.

Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English and Bangla. Proficient in Microsoft Office, editing software.
An understanding of maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health; family planning; nutrition and tuberculosis.

Language Skills Must be fluent in English and Bangla is required.
