Job Summary
Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) is hiring a Knowledge Management (KM) Officer to provide technical and programmatic support to CCP Bangladesh’s social and behavior change (SBC) communication projects. The position will systematically gather, organize, and package information about CCP’s programs and products to help meet institutional requirements for donor reporting, public relations, program planning, and social and behavior change. The KM and Communication Officer will manage and deliver the development of online content, print materials, program documents, and work plans. This position will support strategy development for programs and new businesses, manage and deliver online content, and synthesize program and research outputs by working closely with staff, CCP headquarters, and partner organizations. The KM and Communication Officer will work proactively with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
This position requires strong skills in research, writing, and editing; experience in managing social media platforms and developing digital content; and an understanding of health communication theory and social and behavior change communication. Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla are mandatory. This position reports to the Chief of Party /Country Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify, capture, organize, and manage information about CCP’s programs and ensure the appropriate dissemination of information to intended audiences.
- Work closely with CCP’s Chief of Party and program and research staff to develop a KM system and ensure that information flows into the system and is organized, up-to-date, and accessible.
- Liaise closely with CCP’s headquarters team to ensure compliance with branding and communication guidelines for all donor- and public-facing documents and materials.
- Ensure that Bangladesh documents and products are uploaded and up to date on CCP’s internal knowledge management platforms.
- Develop knowledge-sharing platforms, databases, and other tools for facilitating knowledge exchange.
- Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the organization.
- Conduct literature reviews to support report writing and advocacy initiatives
- Analyze insights from CCP implementation activities and draft reports to support operational decision-making, visibility, and advocacy
- Design and create content (web content, visual storytelling, video scripts, blogs, articles) to elevate CCP visibility to the donor community
- Capture and analyze social media metrics and make necessary adjustments in content delivery
- Assist with event management and training programs as needed
- Prepare reports and presentations on knowledge management activities
Required Qualifications
- Master's level training in public health, public relations, or communications preferred
- At least 5 years of progressive work experience in knowledge management, reporting, and documentation in the development sector
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla
- Demonstrated excellence of writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to social and behavior change strategies and implementation plans
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, how each platform can be effectively deployed, and how to measure and analyze performance for each platform
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple deliverables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of nutrition, family planning, maternal/newborn/child health, tuberculosis, and zoonotic diseases
- Experience working in the government or development sectors
- Demonstrated ability in database development, data collection, and analysis
- Formal training in qualitative research
Language Skills: Excellent written and oral skills in Bangla and English.
