JAAGO Foundation is a civil society organization (CSO) working towards education and social mobilization for the underprivileged masses of Bangladesh. Its mission to fight poverty, JAAGO pioneered a Free-of-Cost International Standard School for underprivileged children in remote areas of Bangladesh. JAAGO’s Youth Development Program focuses on national development via the reallocation of skills and resources to foster self – reliance and growth in every young citizen.

 
 
 
  Position Title: Officer, Child Welfare Team-Education Program
   
  No. of Vacancy: 01
   
  Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist to design JAAGO Foundation school admission process, and participate in the admission process to recruit students for JAAGO Foundation School;
  • Develop and update student database maintaining, student’s demographical information, dropout rate, attendance rate, academic progress and other relevant information;
  • Taking initiative to reduce student’s absence, dropout rate, irregularity at school;
  • Prepare & update the tabulation sheet for the students of all branches of JAAGO Foundation;
  • Maintaining all the “Child Welfare” related work communication within Education Program’s team & other department’s;
  • Monitoring student’s hygiene, nutrition & health condition and taking proper action if needed;
  • Guiding and counseling the challenging children’s and parents;
  • Arranging sponsor visit, Skype meeting, a phone call and any other communication between student & sponsor;
  • Disbursing students’ gifts & students money to different branches;
  • Managing monthly birthday charts, thank you charts, cards, letter for sponsors and well-wishers;
  • Arranging and managing different events for JAAGO schools ( internal and external);
  • Participating in the recruitment process of Project Officers & Community Officer including training;
  • Visiting different branches of JAAGO Foundation schools if needed;
  • Monitor, plan & execute all the works of Child Welfare Team;
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
  Educational Requirements:
 

  • Master’s of Social Science/Development Studies/Business Administration from any recognized approved university with minimum all 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA.2.5.

  Experience Requirements:
 

Having at least 1 - 2 years’ experience in Child Welfare or Education related activities.

Skills:

  • The ideal candidate should have good communication skills both in English & Bangla (Speaking and Writing);
  • Have the knowledge about to work in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Drive etc.;
  • Have the knowledge about child safeguarding policy;
  • Have the knowledge and experience regarding Event coordination, budgeting, planning and execution;
  • Has to be proactive, self-motivating and hardworking.
  Salary: BDT 20,000 – 25,000 per month

  Office Time: Sunday-Thursday (10 am - 6 pm)
