Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following position for Transport Pool:
Allowances And Benefits Housing allowance - 40%, applicable if the accommodation cannot be provided on the campus, transport allowance, spouse allowance, and children allowance, interim allowance, cost of living allowance, education allowance, medical benefits and end-of-service indemnity are available as per the rules Qualification and Experience Requirement Assistant Transport Supervisor Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Applicants having the related supervisory experience, driving skills and ability to work under own initiative and under pressure including making effective decisions will be preferred. Job Responsibilities Monitor and supervise all drivers, transport helpers; maintain record books on the consumption of fuel-oil etc. and also maintains a separate record of maintenance and purchase of spare parts for vehicles; prepare the fuel-oil consumption bill and overtime bill of the drivers; make routine check-up of all vehicles; responsible for smooth functioning and control of Transport Pool; testing and evaluating vehicle's new parts/spare parts both before and after repair; visit to BRTA to solve all kinds of legal formalities (Registration, Fitness, Tax Token, etc.); keep record and update of vehicle TAX Token / Blue Book, any other tasks as and when assigned by the authority Junior Driver The candidate must have S.S.C. and possess valid light / heavy driving license and experience in driving motor car, microbus, bus, and be able to fix breakdowns. Preference may be given to candidates having 5 years’ experience and being able to write log books in English.
