IUT welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following positions in its Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE) and Natural Sciences (NSc):

Salary & Allowances:

Assistant Professor : (S-4: US$ 640-32x16-1152)

plus housing allowance - 40%, applicable if an accommodation cannot be provided on the campus. Moreover, transport allowance, spouse allowance, children allowance, interim allowance, cost of living allowance, education allowance, medical benefits, interim allowance, and end of service indemnity are available as per rules. In addition, if coming from a member state of the OIC other than Bangladesh, successful candidates will be awarded 40% international allowance as per rule.

Required qualifications and experience for appointment to the above posts are furnished below:
CSE, CEE and MPE Departments

Assistant Professor:

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must posses a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must posses a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in the active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must posses a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant `branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must posses a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized University / Institution.

Qualification and Experience Requirements for Appointment of Teachers of Physics, and Mathematics for NSc Department

Assistant Professor:

The candidate must possess a Master or an equivalent degree with a first class both in B.Sc. (Hons) and in M.Sc. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch from a recognized University / institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. There should not be any third division/ class at any level.

OR

The candidate must possess a Master or an equivalent degree with a first class both in B.Sc. (Hons) and in M.Sc. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch from a recognized University / institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. There should not be any third division / class at any level.

OR

The candidate must possess a Master or an equivalent degree with a first class both in B.Sc. (Hons) and in M.Sc. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch and an M.Phil. obtained from a recognized University / institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. There should not be any third division / class at any level.

OR

The candidate must possess a Master or an equivalent degree with a first class both in B.Sc. (Hons) and in M.Sc. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch and an M.Phil. or an equivalent degree from a recognized University / institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. There should not be any third division / class at any level.

OR

The candidate must possess a Master or an equivalent degree with a first class both in B.Sc. (Hons) and in M.Sc. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch from a recognized University and a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University / institution and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. There should not be any third division / class at any level.
