IUT welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following positions at its Departments of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Business and Technology Management (BTM):

Salary & Allowances:
Assistant Professor : (S-4: US$640-32x16-1152)
Lecturer : (S-2: US$ 440-32x16-952)

plus housing allowance - 40%, applicable if an accommodation cannot be provided on the campus, transport allowance, spouse allowance, and children allowance per month, interim allowance, cost of living allowance. Education allowance, medical benefits and end-of-service indemnity are available as per the rules. Moreover, successful candidates, if coming from a member state of the OIC other than Bangladesh, will be awarded 40% international allowance instead of an interim allowance as per rule.

Required qualifications and experience for appointment to the above posts are furnished below:

CEE, CSE EEE and MPE Departments

Assistant Professor:

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in the active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized University / Institution.

Lecturer

The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution. There should not be any third division / class at any level.

BTM Department

Lecturer

The candidates must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA in the relevant branch or discipline from a recognized University / Institution. Special increment may be given. Preference may be given to those who have higher degrees.

Experience in teaching and research is preferred.

No second class in any level of education.
