ORGANISATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION (OIC) IUT welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following positions at its Departments of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Business and Technology Management (BTM) and Technical and Vocational Education (TVE):
Salary & Allowances: plus housing allowance - 40%, applicable if accommodation cannot be provided on the campus, transport allowance, spouse allowance, and children allowance per month, interim allowance, cost of living allowance. Education allowance, medical benefits and end of service indemnity are available as per rules. Moreover, successful candidates, if coming from a member state of the OIC other than Bangladesh, will be awarded 40% international allowance instead of interim allowance as per rule. Required qualification and experience for appointment to the above posts are furnished below: CEE, CSE, MPE and EEE Departments Professor: The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of engineering from a recognized University / Institutions plus 10 years of professional experience of which 5 years in active University teaching as Asstt. Professor / Sr. Lecturer or above and at least 7 research papers in refereed journals. Associate Professor: The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 7 years of professional experience of which 3 years in active University teaching as Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer or above and at least 4 research papers in refereed journals. OR The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 12 years of professional experience of which 6 years in active University teaching as Assistant Professor / Sr. Lecturer or above and at least 4 research papers in a refereed journal. Assistant Professor: The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. OR The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in the active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. OR The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. OR The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. OR The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution. For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized University / Institution. TVE Department Professor: The candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Technical Education (M.Sc.TE) with a First Class B.Sc. Engineering Degree and a Ph.D. in Technical Education / Education or a First Class Masters Degree in Education (Science & Technology) and a Ph.D. in Education from a recognized University / Institution plus 10 years of professional experience of which at least 5 years in active teaching in technical education in the post of Assistant Professor at the University level. There should not be any third division / class at any level. All candidates must have at least 7 numbers of research publications in Technical Education / Education in refereed journals. Associate Professor: The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Engineering Degree and a First Class Masters Degree in Technical Education (M.Sc.TE) or a First Class Masters Degree in Education (Science and Technology) from a recognized University / Institution plus 12 years of professional experience of which 6 years in active teaching in Technical Education as Assistant Professor or equivalent at the University level. There should not be any third division / class at any level. OR The candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Technical Education (M.Sc.TE) with a First Class B.Sc. Engineering Degree and a Ph.D. in Technical Education / Education or a First Class Masters Degree in Education (Science and Technology) Degree and a Ph.D. in Education from a recognized University / Institution plus 7 years of professional experience of which 3 years in active teaching in the post of Assistant Professor or equivalent at the University level. There should not be any third division / class at any level. All candidates must have at least 4 Nos. of research publications in Technical Education / Education in refereed journals of which 2 should be as Assistant Professor or equivalent. Assistant Professor: The candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Engineering Degree and a Masters Degree in Technical Education (M.Sc.TE) from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of active teaching in Technical Education at the University level or 3 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active teaching in Technical Education. There should not be any third division / class at any level. OR The candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Technical Education and a Ph.D. in Technical Education or Ph.D. in Education with a First Class Masters and Bachelor of Honours in Science and Technology Education from a recognized University / Institution. There should not be any third division / class at any level. All candidates must have at least 1 research paper in the field of Technical Education / Education in a refereed journal. BTM Department Professor: The candidate must possess BBA/B.Sc.Engg., MBA and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch (Business) from a recognized University / Institutions plus 10 years of professional experience of which 5 years in active University teaching as Assistant Professor or above and at least 7 research papers in refereed journals. No second class in any level of education. Assistant Professor: The candidate must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal. No second class in any level of education. OR The candidate must possess first class or equivalent BBA/B.Sc.Engg. and MBA in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
