Position: Experienced GitHub Administrator
Job Description:
IT Consultants PLC. is seeking a highly skilled GitHub Administrator to manage our organization's GitHub environment, optimize workflows, and ensure best practices for version control, security, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GitHub administration, code security, repository management, user permissions, integrations and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce best practices for source code management and collaboration
  • Configure and oversee GitHub integrations with CI/CD pipelines, issue trackers, and other tools
  • Monitor and ensure repository, access controls, and compliance policies
  • Ensure code security
  • Automate repetitive tasks using GitHub Actions and scripts
  • Provide training and support to development teams on GitHub usage and workflows
  • Stay updated with GitHub features, security updates, and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in a relevant field
  • Proven experience in GitHub administration at an enterprise level
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, API, and automation scripts
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards
