Call for Expression of Interest for Partnership

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading global relief and development organization, established in 1933, and currently working in 40 countries worldwide. The IRC mission is to help the world’s most vulnerable people survive, recover, and gain control of their future. The aim of the IRC’s global strategy, IRC2020, is to make measurable improvements in health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and decision-making power. The IRC started operating in Bangladesh in October 2017 in response to the large influx of Rohingya refugees from Myanmar in August 2017. Official government registration to operate in Bangladesh was received in March 2018 and a handover from the Emergency Response Team to the permanent country office structure was completed in July 2018. At the end of the transition, the IRC Bangladesh has created its first country Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for the period of 20 months through to September 2020, in line with IRC’s global strategy cycle. Currently IRC is developing the next three years Strategy for Bangladesh in line with Global strategy.

IRC aims to work in partnership with local and national civil society organizations and government agencies to ensure more effective, responsive and durable assistance reaches more people and produces better outcomes for the people we serve. The IRC prioritizes long term strategic partnerships with local civil society and government actors that build trust, mutual respect, and capacity over time. The IRC is currently directly implementing various Health, Education and Protection (women and child protection) focused project with primarily targeting women, children and youth in different refugee camps. The IRC Bangladesh is looking to establish pre-qualified partnership with local and national organizations for its operation in Cox’s Bazar, CHT region and South part of Bangladesh.

Using this EOI Template interested parties can submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to BD.Partnership@rescue.org  on or before 10th August, 2021.

IRC is currently exploring partnership on Protection- Women Protection & Empowerment, Child Protection and Protection rule of Law) Please review the Request for Partnership Applications before completing the EOI Template. The IRC will not be considering EOIs for any other sectors apart from the ones mentioned above.      

Please note, participation in this Call does not guarantee selection as partner. The IRC will undertake a comprehensive due diligence check before commencing any partnership. The IRC will acknowledge receipt of the submitted EOI. All applying organizations will be informed about the outcome of their submission, and selected organizations will be informed on how to proceed further. the IRC will use this application for assessment purpose only and information provided by interested organizations will not be used for any other purpose unless otherwise mutually agreed.
