Post: GM/DGM - Engineering (Pharmaceutical)

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides technical engineering oversight to develop project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment component installation, etc.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety procedures, quality standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, other regulatory agency standards, and good maintenance practices.
  • Equipment engineering lifecycle activities, including procurement, startup/commissioning, qualification, and maintenance strategy development.
  • Overseeing the engineering change control process, engineering capital projects, preventive maintenance system, receipt of new equipment, calibration activities, scheduling system, maintenance critical spare parts inventory and facilities related projects
  • Establishes the initial Preventive Maintenance / Calibration activities for equipment / instruments that are in accordance with the guidelines and specifications for that particular equipment/instrument class.
  • Selects the initial Maintenance Strategy for new equipment and provides updates to keep the strategy current.
  • Implements equipment reliability plans by ensuring job plans and tasks are established (Preventative Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Calibrations, etc.).
  • Performs root cause failure analysis of equipment deficiencies, develops, changes, and/or initiates maintenance activities such as PM, Condition Based Monitoring (CBM), lubrication programs, calibration, training, and spare parts strategies to improve performance and equipment availability.
  • Based on investigation results, develops design modification projects to improve performance and initiates work orders or capital projects to complete.
  • Provides input and oversight to equipment engineering standards.
  • Provides maintenance engineering input to Capital Project Engineering through equipment selection review, PM/Calibration activity development, spare parts needs, and training requirements.
  • Develops and implements plant safety improvements.
  • Leads and/or actively participates in the project management of new product and process implementations.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Quality Operations to control and reduce production variances.
  • Oversees the operation of the GMP critical utility systems - WFI, clean steam, compressed air, nitrogen systems, and HVAC, and GMP manufacturing equipment – washers, depyrogenation tunnel, filling machines, lyophilizers, and sterilizers, as well as all non GMP related equipment and systems of the building and grounds.

Education: B.Sc Engr. in Mechanical/ Electrical

Job Experience: 10 to 15 years of Experience to build in pharma project

Job Location: Any where in Bangladesh
