Associate Officer-Procurement

iDE Bangladesh is looking for a qualified Associate Officer-Procurement to assist the Manager-Procurement & Asset Management in day to day procurement support, vendor enlistment, asset movement and recording, physical asset verification and reporting.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
The responsibilities of the Associate Officer-Procurement include but are not limited to the descriptions below.
Key Responsibilities

- Receive and register purchase request submitted by the concern department/ person;
- Provide support for receiving purchased product/service with checking the quantities, specification and quality;
- Assist Manager-Procurement & Asset Management to develop all necessary purchase related documents;
- Visit the market periodically to check prices of materials purchasing locally.
- Ensure the sanction checking before issuing PO or agreement.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery of goods and services are on time.
- Review procurement documents and prepare before the submitting the payment request to finance
- Prepare the payment request and submit it to the finance;
- Track record the payment request and maintain the procurement log sheet for each of the Procurement;
- Regularly update the asset and inventory register with detailed information after every asset purchase
- Carry out periodic physical asset verification and update accordingly
- Assist Manager-Procurement & Asset Management for processing necessary action relating to asset disposal
- Assist Manager- Procurement & Asset Management on reporting to donor and stakeholders on assets and its status as required
- Assist to complete the procurement process of goods and services for the operations department including the Hub offices and adhering to the procurement policies and procedures;
- Type documents and reports in English and Bangla;
- Assist to IT to repair office and IT equipment’s are in good condition

Skills and Experience:
A successful Associate Officer-Procurement will have the following skills and experience and will be comfortable with the following conditions.
Education |
Graduate from any reputed university preferably in business or related subject |
Work Experience |
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding on Procurement & Asset Management
- Excellent administrative capabilities and managerial skills regarding official documents
- Experience in conceptualizing and creating strategic marketing and communication solutions

- Always maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues.
- Constantly update immediate supervisor on any concern and managing conflict very well.
- Decision making process is to be clear, consistent, and transparent
- Ability to successfully supervise a limited number of staff

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts.
- Written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, email and the internet
- Familiarity with internet-based software systems
