Expression of Interest (EOI) Introduction and establishment of Sanitation Marketing in the Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT) regions of Rangamati and Khagrachari iDE is an international NGO with over 37 years of experience in designing and delivering market-based anti-poverty programs in 11 countries. We are a world leader in making markets work for the poor as well as the longest established market development specialist NGO in Bangladesh. iDE believes that markets can be a powerful force for improving smallholder prosperity by creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. The SanMarkS II Project is funded by the Embassy of Switzerland and Unicef. It will be implemented in 25 Districts by iDE Bangladesh. Among the 25 districts the project will also work in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) regions particularly in Rangamati and Khagrachari partnering with local NGO potentially benefiting 40,000 households that gain access to basic sanitation products and services that will be produced by directly supporting 120 Latrine Producers on improving their existing business. This would utilize the proven Sanitation Marketing concept, to address the prevalence of unimproved Sanitation in the Chittagong Hill tracts region of Rangamati and Khagrachari, testing approaches in creating awareness, strengthening supply chain of improved sanitation and identifying appropriate stakeholders in public sector for supporting the enhanced adoption and endorsement of improved sanitation in the regions. iDE Bangladesh is looking for a local NGO with demonstrated experience in undertaking the Sanitation Marketing program in Rangamati and Khagrachari (12 months in each district). Interested applicants are requested to share their interest to attend a pre-bid meeting over email at bangladesh.procurement@ideglobal.org. Based on the response, a pre-bid meeting will be organized and communicated to the applicants. Please refer to the TOR (attached with this EOI) for more details. Interested NGOs are asked to submit their technical and financial proposals to bangladesh.procurement@ideglobal.org.
