Evidence and Analytics Specialist

iDE Bangladesh is looking for a qualified “Evidence and Analytics Specialist” for the anticipated enterprise development project. The Evidence and Analytics Specialist will be responsible for planning, monitoring, data collection, analysis, management and presentation of the results measurement findings to the project team. They will develop the capacity of project team members at field level on the M&E system. Maintaining an effective and proactive communication and coordination with the field operations team and Dhaka Evidence and Analytics (E&A) Team will be a significant role for this position.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsibilities of the Evidence and Analytics Specialist include but are not limited to the descriptions below.
- Provide technical support to results measurement unit at field level Facilitating knowledge acquisition, storage and dissemination.
- Ensure that monitoring and results measurement activities are well planned, resourced and carried out so that relevant and useful information is generated on intervention performance.
- Assist in the development of results chains before implementation and ensuring that a Measurement Plan is in place before interventions are executed and in compliance with M&E System.
- Assist in development of attribution strategies, baselines and survey designs: the data from which will be used for management decisions.
- Work with project teams to review and revise the results chains, indicators and results measurement plans.
- Monitor the timely execution of Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) Plans of the project.
- Monitor the achievement of project outputs and results (outcomes) as per project MRM Plans
- Report on Monitoring, Results measurement (on impact/ outcome level), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Management Dashboard of the assigned projects on regular basis
- Conducting assessments/ studies as per project requirement.
- Respond to other results measurement data needs of the program.
- Support for the validation of data arising from the implementation of the Measurement Plans to verify the results.
- Support consultant/firm to conduct different surveys/evaluation under the project.
- Support developing study/assessment plans, data collection and analysis tools and guidelines, training on assessments and data collection, developing reporting outlines & formats, developing process management tools & guidelines.
- Support in data analysis and report writing.
- Undertake any task assigned by the Project Manager/E&A team.
Skills and Experience
A successful Evidence and Analytics Specialist will have the following skills and experience and will be comfortable with the following conditions.
| Education |
- Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Economics/ Social Science/ Development Studies.

| Work Experience |
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Monitoring and Results Measurement/ MEAL/ M&E in development projects.
- Must have demonstrated expertise/experience in development programming and implementation.
- Familiarity and experience with project management concepts.
- Ability to cohesively work with various team members and the flexibility to adapt to different work conditions.

| Personal Skills |
- Familiarity and experience with project management concepts.
- Market Development approach will be an added advantage.

| Management and Technical Skills |
- Ability to use standard software for data management/analysis such as Excel.
- Skills in using Microsoft Access and SPSS for data analysis will be an added advantage.

| Physical and Language Skills |
- Excellent communications skills in both Bangla and English.
- The role will require fieldwork in rural contexts as and when required and sometimes extended hours of work.
