The Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh activity is working to establish a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, improving detection and management of child TB, expanded prevention, and others. 

The Programme Officer will report to the Assistant Programme Managers (APM). The position holder will be responsible for programme implementation in the field sites by coordinating with ACTB Management, GoB, NGOs and other stakeholders/sub-recipient/partner organizations. S/he will be involved in–

• Supervise field team members and provide directions to ensure smooth work implementation and accurate data flow; 
• Cooperating in developing programme management plan; 
• Collect training materials, programme materials and logistics from head office and distribute them accordingly;
• Maintain the quality of the ongoing project activities; 
• Maintain liaison with Govt. Officials, NTP authority, and relevant stakeholders within the designated area; 
• Represent the ACTB project at the district level and work to build rapport with all the stakeholders in the assigned division from time to time; 
• Share findings with APM, Program Manager, Chief of Party (CoP), Deputy Project Coordinators (DPC) and other leaders and seek inputs;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for submission to project leads, provide comments and follow-up to ensure correct data are reported, compile all quarterly data to be submitted, critically assess data quality and address errors; 
• Monitor quality of data collection, response rates against timelines, and programme criteria; 
• Collaborate with monitoring, evaluation and learning team to support implementation monitoring and ensure efficient project implementation; 
• Assign work to the team and initiate activities as per project plan, coach staff on how to address issues faced during field-work.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Masters degree in any discipline.
• 4 years of working experience in the field implementation of development programs. Experience with the implementation of TB program activities will be an added advantage.

Contract Type and duration:

• Fixed Term Agreement; duration will be 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Annual Tk. 651,970/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits;
• 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
