The Senior Programmer (QA software) reporting to the Project Coordinator will provide an opportunity for Quality Assurance for software related to the public health communication and scientific research-based environment at icddr,b.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases;
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities;
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools;
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs;
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements;
• Monitor debugging process results;
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions;
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts;
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Provide training to the end users in order to develop appropriate and organizational standard software application for centre;
• Collect feedback from users on existing software for any changes required;
• Make necessary changes;
• Provide continuous support for user queries in order to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement of the software application.

Required qualification and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering from a reputed university; 
• 5 years of experience in relevant field - Software 
• Must have knowledge in different Quality Assurance tools like Testim, Kobiton, Global App Testing, Kualitee;
• Must have the knowledge to write programs to test software;
• Extensive Field visit would be required;
• Able to manage and work under stress.

Location:Mohakhali Campus (Dhaka)

Contract Type and duration:

• Short Term Contractual Service Agreement;duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Tk. 115,796/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.
• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities ,are subject to space availability.
