HEMA is an international retail organization that is well-known for its products with the right combination of good quality, good design and great prices. HEMA was founded in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 1926 and nowadays has more than 750 stores in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Austria, and GCC. Our product range consists of more than 30,000 different articles that are all designed and developed in-house by the HEMA team. To facilitate this, HEMA has its own buying offices in China, Hong Kong and Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For our Dhaka office we are searching for high qualified candidates for the position of:


Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and monitoring product development process with suppliers and head office
  • Order follow up with suppliers
  • Support in administrative and filing activities
  • Coordinating buying trips from head office
  • Monitoring supplier performance


  • Graduated from any recognized university. Education in textile management is preferred;
  • 3–5 years merchandise experience in a multinational buying office, most preferable for a European retailer, if you are experienced in lingerie and/or ladies apparel, it would be an added advantage;
  • Self-motivated, a team player, open-minded with strong negotiation and communication skills;
  • Pro-active and well organized;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bangla;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Able to work under pressure.
