Request for Proposal (RFP) for Market assessment to identify potential economic activities for Nari Shakti, Samaz Shakti (NSSS) Project

"Nari Shakti, Samaz Shakti" (NSSS) is designed with gender transformative approach so that women from the communities become socially and economically empowered to protect their family members from disasters and loss of assets and support their family members and children, including girls, becoming prosperous. Helvetas will implement the project in the ground through the two partners: ESDO for host communities (Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas of Cox's Bazar districts) and another partner Uttaran for Rohingya communities (Camps of Teknaf & Ukhiya Upazilla). The project targets to support vulnerable marginalized women and girls between the age group of 10-35 years. Recognizing the gender-based barriers and climate vulnerabilities in Cox's Bazar, the project adopts a gender-transformative and climate-resilient approach. The upcoming market assessment will therefore consider gender norms, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability when identifying feasible and culturally appropriate economic opportunities for both host and Rohingya communities. The project objective is to build a gender-transformative enabling environment, empowering women and marginalised groups to foster safer, more inclusive, and resilient communities in the vulnerable contexts of Cox's Bazar. The project planned outcomes and outputs are as follows: Outcome 1: Economic empowerment of vulnerable and or marginalized women to become a lead change champion (Economic Empowerment), Outcome 2: Transforming social norms and attitudes thereby reducing social conflict and improved cohesion (Social Protection), Outcome 3: Building safer and more inclusive communities by strengthening resilience and response capacity (Climate Change adaptation, and DRR). The project is seeking proposal from qualified, experienced, and reputable consultants or consulting firms to conduct a Baseline survey. Competent and eligible individual consultant/consulting firms are invited to express their interest and submit complete application documents following the application guidelines in the RFP circulated on BDJOBS.
