Knowledge Management Coordinator (Re-Advertisement)

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Knowledge Management Coordinator to join our team under the Climate Acation at Local Level (CALL) Programme Management Unit (PMU). The ideal candidate will have extensive relevant experience in INGOs and a strong background in knowledge management, communications, and climate change policy dialogue. The incumbent will play a crucial role in designing learning frameworks, harvesting knowledge, supporting policy coherence, and ensuring effective communication and branding strategies across consortium partners. The position requires expertise in managing knowledge systems, visual content creation, research, advocacy, and a deep commitment to fostering teamwork, performance, and innovation. The job description for this role may include the following responsibilities but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Coherence and Programme Support

  • Supports timely guidance to the consortium members as they engage in the climate change policy dialogues at the national level with key partners such as governments, donors, and civil society.
  • Design, facilitate, and harvest knowledge from cross-learning approach of the projects under the consortium
  • Develop a strategic framework for enhancement and capacity-building activities of the project.
  • Develop learning resources from learning exchanges, project implementation experiences, and deliverables while connecting them to internal and external communications where relevant.
  • Prepare tools, case studies, internal learning briefs and others, working with the knowledge management and learning team as well as blogs, infographics, webpage updates working with the communications team.
  • Track project deliverables and ensure that they are available on relevant platforms related to knowledge management and communications.
  • Ensure close coordination of knowledge management, learning, and communications across the national, regional and global levels, with a particular emphasis on supporting knowledge exchange and harnessing around related project deliverables.

Harvesting and Disseminating Knowledge

  • Ensures a flow of information among consortium partners.
  • Disseminates and briefs on technical and strategic position papers, presentations, advisory and briefing notes.
  • Manage the packaging and presentation of key documents and products, ensuring visual appeal and clarity.
  • Disseminates briefings on policy briefs/position papers prepared in collaboration with other practices that address links between climate change and other development concerns such as HRBA, climate justice, localisation, governance, private sector, gender, and capacity development.
  • Collaborate with program and technical teams to translate complex information into engaging, accessible designs.
  • Identifies relevant lessons learnt to be disseminated among stakeholders and identifies and develops linkages between local and national levels as appropriate.
  • Prepares and moderates regular knowledge topics on emerging climate change issues, using a range of modalities.
  • Proposes value-added project activities based upon internal discussions and identification of in-house best practices and capacities.

Communications and Reporting

  • Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with the consortiums brand identity and objectives.
  • Design and produce high-quality visual content, including reports, presentations, social media assets, and marketing materials.
  • Oversee branding consistency across all platforms and communications, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines of donor.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and designers as needed for specialized design and print projects.
  • Support content creation for digital and print media, including newsletters, press releases, donor communication and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication outputs, providing regular updates and insights to leadership.
  • Conducts analyses of climate change portfolio of the consortium project to identify best practices and policy impacts
  • Supports the development of indicators and results-based frameworks to report achievements of programme.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar type of position in INGO.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing big teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) and a general comfort level working with technology systems.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Extensive experience working with knowledge management systems and communication tools and managing online data/content
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent understanding of Knowledge Management Framework and ability to independently build, manage, and set the direction of the Knowledge Management Framework.
  • Hands-on experience in different approaches for implementing programme, as such HRBA.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Climate Change program would be an added advantage.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science (MSS) in Development Studies, Mass Communication & Journalism, or Environment/Climate-related subjects.
  • Professional certification in Knowledge Management (CKM, CPKM etc) will be an added advantage.

Skills:

  • Proven experience and skills in research and advocacy and influencing institutional, private and/or corporate donors and writing up high-quality donor reports.
  • Highly diplomatic with strong oral and written communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Strong skills in networking, advocacy, communication, collaboration and donor liaison.
  • Demonstrated high-level technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete deliverables on time.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Ability to coach and mentor partners.
