HELVETAS Bangladesh Khulna Region Office Request for Proposal: Mapping and Analysis of Sweet Water Ponds

HELVETAS Bangladesh is seeking consultancy services from qualified Consultancy Firm/Academia for the Mapping and Analysis of Sweet Water Ponds in selected unions of three sub-districts (Morrelganj, Paikgacha, and Koyra) in the southwestern coastal zone of Bangladesh. This study aims to facilitate strategic planning of water interventions and climate resilience advocacy by identifying and analyzing sweet water ponds in these areas.

Scope of Work: The consultancy will involve GIS mapping, water quality testing, sustainability assessments, and both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Deliverables include a comprehensive report, cleaned data sets, and strategic recommendations for water interventions to strengthen climate resilience in the region.

The Consultancy Firm/Academia must be registered and authorized by the government of Bangladesh to perform water resource and environmental assessments. Additionally, the firm should have a strong track record in conducting similar studies, particularly in areas affected by climate change and salinity intrusion.
