Helvetas Bangladesh Hiring Consultant- for the assessment of local food production system and food market, and selected nutrition sensitive value chains in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT)

The EU funded Leadership to Ensure Adequate Nutrition (LEAN) Project working in the selected upazilas of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) with the purpose of improving the maternal and child nutrition status. The LEAN action combines the skills and experience of six co-applicants who together form a consortium that represents both the supply and demand side of improved nutrition governance. In the consortium United Purpose (UP), apart from its lead role, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation (HELVETAS) and Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) act as technical partner, Caritas Bangladesh (CB) act as both technical and implementing partner, and Jum Foundation (JF) and Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) act as the implementing partner.

HELVETAS is leading the implementation of the value chain and market component of LEAN Project. This component aims to make available safe and nutritious food in the region through strengthening the horizontal and vertical alliances for nutrition sensitive and climate smart food value chains. To achieve its objectives HELVETAS wants to understand the existing food production system and food market and market system of selected nutrition sensitive food value chains in the selected upazilas of three hill districts.
