HELVETAS is an international organization, operating in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe in the domains of water & infrastructure, environment & climate change, rural economy, skill development & education, and governance & peace. In Bangladesh, HELVETAS supports the development of rural livelihoods and local governance through  direct support to agriculture and has demonstrated experience in improving access to drinking water as well as reduction of water induced risks, including flood, erosion, and salinity targeting the extreme poor and disadvantaged. HELVETAS, in partnership with ACTED, is launching an emergency operation to respond to the Rohingya Refugee Crisis and is working in particular the sector of Site Management (CCCM) in the Camps of the Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Cox’s Bazar.  
HELVETAS/ACTED seeks to recruit:

HR Admin Assistant  

Salaries will be based on qualifications and experience with a range between BDT 51,700-56,500 per month.

Selection criteria

The main criteria used in the selection of the HR Admin Assistant are the following:

  • previous working experience in similar position, ideally in INGO
  • Excellent level of English and Bangla skills are required for writing, typing and speaking. English Language proficiency especially local dialog (Chittagonian) will be tested.
  • Experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
  • Should have knowledge on humanitarian principals
  • Communicating with FLAT, program team, organizing and taking minutes of meetings.
  • Skills required: Results orientated, teamwork, flexible, commitment, stress management, high level of confidentiality, problem solving skills, ability to organize & priorities workload independently, using initiative when appropriate, and ability to act as part of multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team.
  • The incumbent should be organized, discreet, and people oriented. Possess strong smart personality.

Key Responsibilities

The focus of this position will be Administrative and based on their expertise they will receive specific ToRs which includes, but are not limited to:

  • Provide HR and administrative support to all staff
  • Translating documents into local language
  • Ensure HR documents are kept current
  • Maintaining the different types of HR files and staff lists 
  • Coordinate all internal and external training session
  • Lead all aspects of recruitment
  • Print and Distribute pay slips for national staff
  • Any other administrative tasks, as delegated

Line Management

The  HR Admin Assistant will report to and operate under the guidance of the HR Admin officer.
