Volunteer Legal Assistant (NGO)

Job Context: We are seeking dedicated volunteer Legal Assistants who are eager to gain practical experience by working with a team of experienced barristers and lawyers. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work, helping the poor and needy, in exchange for a certificate and invaluable learning experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and professionally.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Assist with vetting and drafting various contracts and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal opinions on various issues.
  • Handle and manage case-related work.
  • Conduct research in different sectors of law.
  • Assist in preparing legal drafts and documents.
  • Prepare Deed Agreements, Reminder Letters, Legal Letters, etc.
  • Participate in case management and updates.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • No prior experience required, but some exposure to legal work or internships is
    beneficial.

Additional Requirements:

  • Age: At least 22 years.
  • Open to both males and females.
  • Basic knowledge of court procedures and legal systems.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong research skills, both offline and online.
  • Positive work attitude, integrity, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work under pressure.
