Habitat for Humanity International-Bangladesh (HFHI-B) is looking for a consultancy firm and/or a team to conduct the End-line Evaluation for a multi year’s project.
Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide established in 1976, has been active in more than 77 countries and territories. HFHI’s vision ‘a world where everyone has a decent place to live’ and mission is to promote sustainable development and adequate housing for all, by working in partnership with local people and organizations regardless of caste, race, ethnicity or religion. HFHI’s program gives low-income people a unique opportunity to improve their lives. Habitat for Humanity International-Bangladesh (HFHI-B) was established in 1999 and operates through project offices and partners to provide support to those most in need. We work closely with communities, volunteers, partner’s organizations, NGOs and government, taking a holistic approach to development. To date, more than 17,528 low-income Bangladeshi families have partnered with Habitat to improve their housing, water, sanitation, and general living conditions. Above 96,883 people have also received training in household financial management, improved water and sanitation, appropriate construction technologies, and disaster response and mitigation.
Habitat for Humanity International- Bangladesh is implementing a three-year project which started in January 2018 at Mymensingh and Jamalpur districts in Bangladesh. This multi-year project is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The project aims to improve the quality of living conditions through affordable climate-smart housing technology and WaSH interventions. The target group of this project is the vulnerable families of Mymensingh Sadar, Mymensingh Municipality, Jamalpur Sadar, and Jamalpur Municipality. So, the project is being implemented in both urban and rural areas of the two districts. The key activities of this project are- Construction of affordable houses, Renovations of the houses, Construct HH sanitary toilets, Install community tube-wells and community water collection points, and bathing facilities. One baseline study and mid-term evaluation study have been conducted on this project. The baseline study gathered all significant data and information on community problems, challenges, and scope of work of the area considering the project design matrix. Then again, the mid-term evaluation assessed the progress of the expected result of the project.
