Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Good Neighbors Bangladesh, established in 1996, is operating 14 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 3 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 12 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR, and Rohingya Emergency Response Project. Winner of MDG 2 award in 2007. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following position:

Position: Manager (Community Development Project/CDP)

Job Location: 12 districts in Bangladesh (Urban /Rural)

Basic Requirement:
Education: Master's Degree preferable in Social Science, Development Studies, Development Economics, Environmental Science & Disaster Management.
Age: Minimum age 30 years and maximum age 40 years (as on 31 May 2021)
Experience: Minimum 5 years practical experiences in managerial position (experience with only evidence and relevance will count)

Contract Information:

Consolidated Remuneration: Tk.40,000 - 50,000 (per month)
Contract Period: 2 years (including minimum 6 months’ probation period)

Job Assignment in Brief:

Program Development and Management Support: (50%)

  • Design, organize, implement, managing and supervising programs for child case management, new intake, home visit, Annual Child Letter (ACL), Annual Progress Report (APR), Gift money & special support.
  • Design, organize, implement, manage, monitoring and supervision of education and protection activities and Administration of overall school activities.
  • Design, organize, implement, manage, monitoring and supervision of health related activities (observe and implement heath related campaign, education, social issue based program, training) and Collaboration with Govt. and privet clinic/hospital
  • Design, organize, implement, manage, monitoring and supervision of activities of Social Economy
  • Establishing community-based networks and strengthening solidarity through community resource mobilization
  • Collaboration with similar NGOs and MoU with various Govt. medical, clinics, health center, youth center and others cooperative.
  • Provide preparedness skill, Support and forecast disaster information to the community, make available diversified skill training options and involving in income generation activities, Organize DRR skill development training

Admin Management Support: (15%)

  • Leading, planning, budgeting, executing, analyzing and reporting of financial activities of Community Development Project (CDP)
  • Compliance of HR Manual, prepare HR plan for Community Development Project (CDP), management of staff’s benefits, leaves, holidays, attendance, staff’s personnel files and training/workshop etc.
  • Conduct JD-based performance appraisal and provide appropriate and timely feedback to staff regarding their performance.
  • Non-training solution (meeting, supervisors mentoring and organizational culture) to overcome professional drawbacks.

Networking/ Partnership/Fund Raising (25%)

  • Strengthening partnership and solidarity with NGOs/INGOs, governments, international agencies, CSOs and corporate sectors
  • Expanding local fund raising/ fund raising initiatives/ expand scope of fund opportunities through need assessment and project proposal writing, by taking initiatives for find out the possible sources of fundraising (ODA/ Campaign/SNS/CSR/Local participation/health care/ contest/ Service income/ voluntary participation)

Secondary Responsibilities (10%)

  • Compliance and management of GNB’s standards, approaches, procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Communication, cooperation and coordination among Teams and Units
  • Following the instructions/assignment given by the supervisor according to the core values of the organization
  • Monitoring, supervision and reporting to the respective parties and keeping the record of information and documentation

Key Deliverables

  • Prompt support to complete a high quality yearly Plan of Action (PoA), 3 years FD-6/ FD-7, Monthly Program, Project proposal/concept writing & Admin related Report
  • Required report to meet the demand of the donor, Head Office and other required parties.

Capacity Requirement:

  • Should have good communication skill
  • Must be good in using internet, MS office package and relevant software operating
  • Should have knowledge of program organizing, project proposal development, data management and report writing
  • Positive attitude towards social service and adaptability to organizational values
  • Ability to deal with different communities with positive manner and mentality to work with the marginal people
  • Good understanding about the GN community-led approach
  • Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural office environment
