Winner of MDG 2 award 2007 and UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2024, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 2 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. 2. Basic Requirement:
- Education: Minimum graduation in Business Studies, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field (Related training in Social Enterprise or Business Development will get preference)
Age: Minimum age 28 years and maximum age 40 years (as on 30 April 2025)
Experience: Minimum 03 years’ work experience in similar sector (experience with only evidence and relevance will count).
3. Contract Information:
Salary and Others: Consolidated Remuneration Tk 30,000 (per month). Plus 100% festival bonus, 15 days paid leave excluding public holidays and training opportunities for career development.
Contract Period: 2 years (including minimum 6 months’ probation period)
4. Job Assignment in Brief:
- Identify and assess social enterprise opportunities based on community needs.
- Develop business plans, strategies, and risk mitigation for proposed enterprises.
- Apply effective marketing strategies to promote products and boost sales.
- Support inclusive business models that promote employment and entrepreneurship for women & youth.
- Track social business performance, evaluate impact, and adjust for better profitability and sustainability.
- Engage stakeholders through MoUs, legal processes, partnerships, and regular reporting
5. Capacity Requirement:
- Practical experience in social enterprise business.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory processes for social enterprises launch and operation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for problem-solving.
- Decision-making ability, partnership-building, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Skilled in business plan development and market research for opportunity identification.
- Ability to work in a diverse, multi-national, and multi-cultural environment.
- Basic managerial skills to build and lead a team, with or without supervision.
