Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award in 2007, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 3 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following positions:

2. Basic Requirement:
Education: Masters’ degree in Social Science/Social works from any government recognized organization.

Age: Age maximum 45 years (as on 5 March 2024)

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in NGO/INGO setting
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience on working with internally displaced people

Salary and Others: Salary Package for this role is BDT. 49,504 (Consolidated)

Details about Job Responsibilities

1.

Primary Responsibilities (Planning and Implementation of Program Activities)

  • Prepare M&E Plan for the Program;
  • Lead planning and facilitation of data collection for post-distribution monitoring PDM, baseline/end line assessments.
  • Collect, enter, clean, and analyze data for the Output Tracker with support from the Project Director.
  • Utilize digital data collection tools and ensure accurate field data collection.
  • Support program teams with data collection and entry processes as needed.
  • Develop and manage databases as required
  • Produce reports including narrative analysis and visual representation of data
  • Ensure effective storage of assessments, surveys, monitoring data and evaluations in shared folders
  • Lead project baseline study, outcome monitoring, impact measurement, and evaluation processes.
  • Keep effective internal/external communication and close collaboration with office supervisor.
  • PSEA: Uphold zero tolerance for PSEA and child protection issues. GNB maintain “0” Zero tolerance on PSEA and child protection concern”.
  • Ensure Do No Harm analysis is carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is observed and upheld in all the engagements of the Case Worker.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Lead collection of positive impact stories and project photos for shared learning
  • Organize Peer Learning meetings to share program strategies and best practices, including Gender, Accountability, and Stakeholder Participation.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of M&E Framework, tools and indicator setting
  • Organized and able to manage own time under guidance and direction from line-manager
  • Committed to GNB Core Values and Mission, as well as GNB Code of Conduct, HR Policy, and PSEA instructions.
  • Responsible for the selection and supervise all project volunteers working in the SSWG and Host Community.

  • Any other duties required by project authorities.

 

5. Capacity Requirement:

  • Previous relevant experience, such as data collection, data analysis, research or reporting
  • Ability to present data, for example through graphs
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willingness and capability to travel frequently to the field for surveys, community partner support, and data verification.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with communities and local governments, INGOs and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
  • Have good skill and knowledge on GBV/MHM related Concept Note/Project Proposal writing
  • Have practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Positive attitude towards social service and adaptability to organizational vision and values
  • Ability to deal with community people with a positive manner and mentality to work for the marginal people
  • Sound knowledge in Micro-soft office and English language (Speaking & writing).
