The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.

For the ‘Socio-economic Support for Host and Displaced Communities in Cox’s Bazar (SHADE) project, GIZ requires the services of a consultant for capacity strengthening support to GIZ-SHADE project’s Income-enhancing programme. GIZ is looking for a suitable Consultant which has extensive working experience in this field of the following competencies:

• 20 years overall professional experience in the development sector particularly in poverty reduction, social protection, income enhancing and capacity building programme
• 10 years specific professional experience in Livelihood, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Apprenticeship and TVET/skills development approach in the development and humanitarian context.
• 10 years' experience in Leadership, Management, Advisor and Expert position in poverty reduction, income enhancing, and skills development programmes or projects of UN/Development partners/IGNO/NGO.
• 3 Years experience in designing gender responsive income generation program in camps in cox’s bazar.
• Solid experience in conceptual design and implementation of Gender Responsive and Inclusive community-based center/Information hub/ Community Resource Center for running economic, information and social activities in Cox’s Bazar context and other part of Bangladesh
• 10 years direct development coordination experience to work with political partner ministry particularly the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Local government Institution, Office of the Refugee, Relief and Repatriation Commissioner
