The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.

For the ‘Socio-economic Support to Host and Displaced FDMN Communities in Cox’s Bazar (SHADE) project, GIZ requires the services of a consultant firm for Refresher Training for the Conflict Mediators. GIZ is looking for a suitable Consultant firm which has extensive working experience in this field of the following competencies:

  • 7 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector.
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in a humanitarian context - experience in working with refugees and host communities.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in conducting dispute or conflict resolution training focusing ADR or other dispute resolution method in FDMN and Host community context.
  • A solid understanding of the country's different conflict resolution mechanisms including trends and mitigation challenges.
  • A solid understanding of the conflict/power dynamics in the camp and adjacent host communities.
  • A clear understanding of the GBV issues, gender responsiveness, and conflict sensitivity.
  • Willingness to travel and work in camps, particularly Camp 14, 15, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, and 27, Whykong and Hnila Unions of Teknaf Upazila.

Interested parties with relevant and proven experience are invited to submit their Technical and Financial Proposals by 11th September 2025. The proposals must be sent in separate emails and addressed to the Contracts, Procurement & IT Unit. The subject line of each email should be clearly marked as: “83496568- Refresher Training for the Conflict Mediators.”
