Request for Bids

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.

GIZ Bangladesh going to purchase Tools, IT Equipment, and Software Package for Solar and Wind Training Center. So that, GIZ invites reputable companies to submit offers to supply the following categories of goods:

The minimum qualification of interested suppliers can be determined by the followings:

1. The supplier can be a company/firm/JV and must have valid trade licenses, latest business registration certificates along with the VAT and TIN certificates.
   
2. The supplier must demonstrate reliable sourcing through authorized dealers or distributors for different product categories, ensuring authenticity, warranty compliance, and access to after-sales service. Documentary evidence (e.g., dealer authorization letters, certificates, or equivalent proof) may be requested to verify these arrangements.
   
3. The supplier must have a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in managing the end-to-end supply, installation, and commissioning of renewable energy systems, particularly solar and wind equipment. The supplier should demonstrate expertise in delivering fully functional setups, including system integration, interfacing with software, and commissioning of training/educational laboratories.
   
4. The supplier must demonstrate the ability to coordinate with multiple technical vendors, manage logistics, oversee installation, and ensure timely delivery and commissioning of the entire equipment package under a single point of responsibility.
   
5. The supplier must demonstrate the ability to coordinate with multiple technical vendors, manage logistics, oversee installation, and ensure timely delivery and commissioning of the entire equipment package under a single point of responsibility. The overall responsibility for procurement, integration, installation, and commissioning must remain with the lead supplier to ensure a seamless and operational solution.
   
6. GIZ is fully CD/VAT exempted organization.
   
7. The assignment duration is 30 calendar days from contract signing, during which the supplier is expected to complete procurement, installation, integration, and commissioning of all equipment, and hand over operational documentation and necessary training.

Please mention the “91188631_ Tools, IT Equipment, and Software Package for Solar and Wind Training Center” as a subject of the email by 4th September, 2025 latest by 04:00 PM.

A pre-bid clarification session may be arranged upon request before the deadline. Interested suppliers may contact procurement-bangladesh@giz.de for further details.

Please Note that, the bidder will be eligible to submit their offer only if he receives the specification from GIZ procurement unit in schedule time, if not he will be automatically disqualified.

1. When you submit the quotation, please quote the price including TAX and mention the VAT separately.
   
2. Supporting documents of the minimum qualification such as a copy of a valid trade license, VAT, TIN certificates, Tax Return certificates, valid authorization certificate, and any other document, etc. (as applicable).
