GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of “Junior Knowledge Management Advisor” from candidates under ‘Innovations for Climate Smart Urban Development (INCLUDE)’ Project.

A. Responsibilities
- Supports the team and manager in monitoring project activities, maintaining strategic focus, and ensuring alignment with objectives.
- Oversees knowledge management, acts as the records manager, and assists in summarizing information for progress reports.
- Serves as the public relations focal point, coordinates with PR teams, and manages the logistics and quality of project events, including those with outsourced firms and consultants.
The position holder is responsible for the following tasks:
B. Tasks
- Monitors project activities regularly and support the project team and manager in maintaining strategic focus and alignment with objectives.
- Oversee the knowledge management efforts of the project, serving as the records manager to ensure proper documentation and information flow.
- Acts as the PR focal point for the project, coordinating with PR teams at the cluster and country office levels to ensure compliance with GIZ PR guidelines across all project outputs.
- Supports the organization of events and workshops of the project, including logistical and technical aspects.
- Maintains effective liaison with outsourced firms, consultants, and grant recipients to ensure all project-related events (including training, workshop seminar, exposure visit) meet expected quality and standards.
- Actively participates in team meetings, sharing timely and relevant updates on the ongoing implementation progress.
- Assists in summarizing and synthesizing collected information to contribute effectively to the preparation of progress reports.
C. Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Academic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Social or Natural Sciences, Public Administration, or Urban Planning. A master's degree is a plus.
Professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant occupational experience.
- Experience with data management will be an asset.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, hands-on experience with digital data systems, and familiarity with various communication tools and modern IT systems.
- Understanding data protection and confidentiality principles, experience with data management will be an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both Bengali and English
- Familiarity with development cooperation and its operational context, preferably in the field of climate change and urban development.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in an intercultural environment.
