The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a global service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work to shaping a future worth living around the world. As a public-benefit Federal Government organisation, GIZ supports the German Government, particularly the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implementing development projects. In Bangladesh, GIZ is implementing the technical cooperation projects in the areas of energy, climate change, textile, human rights under the bilateral agreement, signed on 15 July 1972 between the Bangladesh and German Governments.
GIZ invites for Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable companies to supply Equipment for Capability Extension of a BESS Pilot on BUET Campus.

Equipment for Capability Extension of a BESS Pilot on BUET Campus
- 55 kW Solar PV panels - 1 Lot

- Switchgear equipment (circuit breaker, etc.) for 55 kW panels - 1 Lot

The minimum qualification of suppliers will be determined by followings:
- The company must have valid trade license, VAT and TIN certificate
- Minimum operating age of the firm must be 3 years or more
- Authorized Partner/Dealer/Reseller of the Manufacturers will get added advantage
- Delivery from ready stock or within 45 calendar days of issuing purchase order is required
- Supplier must provide warranty and after sales services
- Supplier should have the experience of supplying ecofriendly/sustainable product
- Supplier must have prior working experience with the specific BESS equipment (including configuration of its EMS) installed at the BUET pilot site and with the site’s electrical system
Interested companies with above qualifications only are requested to collect specifications of the products and terms and conditions by sending an email to procurement-bangladesh@giz.de. Please mention the “91189401_ Equipment for Capability Extension of a BESS Pilot on BUET Campus” as subject line of the email by 24th August 2025 latest by 04:00 PM.
A pre-bid clarification session may be arranged upon request before the deadline. Interested suppliers may contact procurement-bangladesh@giz.de for further details.
Please note that, the bidder will be eligible to submit their offer only if they receive the specification from GIZ procurement unit in schedule time, if not he will be automatically disqualified.
Required documents to be attached with the offer after receiving the request:
- Financial offer including TAX and VAT amount needs to be mentioned separately.
- Technical offer (Detail specifications with product sample design of the quoted items with warranty details)
- Company Profile and list of clients (contact details of at least 2 Nos international renowned NGOs/organizations as reference where they have supplied sustainable/eco-friendly product
- Supporting documents of the minimum qualification such as copy of valid trade license, VAT, TIN certificates, proof of minimum 3 years of operating age of the firm, dealer certification etc. where applicable)
- Documentary evidence of prior working experience with the specific BESS equipment (including configuration of its EMS) installed at the BUET pilot site and with the site’s electrical system
