The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, sustainable urban development, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement. The diverse expertise of our federal enterprise is in demand around the globe, with the German Government, European Union institutions, the United Nations and governments of other countries all benefiting from our services.

For the "Supporting the Localization of National Adaptation Targets in Bangladesh (LOCAT)", GIZ requires the services of an individual consultant for carrying out “83487280 - Citizen participation in Sirajganj and Chapainababganj Paurashava”. GIZ is looking for a suitable individual consultant which has extensive working experience in this field with the following competencies:

• University degree (at least master’s level) in educational sciences, development studies, geography, social sciences or similar relevant fields.
  
• At least 10 years’ experience in citizen mobilization, engaging city public representatives, child and women rights issues, social and economic inclusion, networking and community and other relevant fields.
  
• At least 05 years of working experience in the northern region of Bangladesh

Individual consultant with these pre-requisite qualifications should provide the following documents:

1. A brief technical proposal on the understanding of the ToR (NOT MORE THAN 10 PAGES), a detail CV (NOT MORE THAN 04 PAGES) and Up-to-date Tax Certificate
   
2. Financial Offer (as per provisions mentioned in the ToR) in a separate sealed envelope.

Interested candidates with relevant and proven experience shall Submit Technical and Financial Proposal by May 13, 2025, in separate sealed envelopes to the reception desk of Simpletree Anarkali Plot-3, Block - CWS(A) 89 Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka- 1212, Bangladesh. The envelopes shall be addressed to “The Contracts and Procurement Unit” denoted with remark “83487280 - Citizen participation in Sirajganj and Chapainababganj Paurashava)”.
