The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.
GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of “Intern” for HR Unit from candidates who are attending a course of further study of which the completion of an internship is an integral component or have graduated no more than six months before commencing the internship.

Internship Duration: 6 Months (maximum)
A. Responsibilities
The position holder is responsible for:
- Work as part of the HR team to learn general HR process execution of the GIZ Office Dhaka in the area of Human Resource Management. This applies for all of the projects being implemented by GIZ.
- Learning by supporting the Human Resource Unit in various processes so that all activities are executed in an effective and timely manner.
- Learn GIZ rules and regulations in all matters keeping all information confidential.
The Intern is responsible for the following tasks:
B. Tasks
1. Support in the arrangement of recruitment process and trainings
- Support in the arrangements of interviews
- Support in preparing documents related to interviews
- Support in arranging trainings
2. Personnel Filing
- Update personnel file of all national staff (NMA) according to GIZ procedures
- Compile and organize information, label files according to GIZ filing system
- Collect and compile personnel data from the GIZ office and projects as per requirement
- Filing of the hard copy reports and certificates
3. General Tasks
- Assist in preparing HR related letters and documents
- Support in bill processing
- Assist in and/or carries out other activities as and when assigned
C. Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Academic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in HRM
Professional experience
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Excellent command on MS-Office especially in MS Excel
- Fluency in English and Bangla language
