The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise operating worldwide, supporting the German Government in international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under a bilateral agreement, working across sectors such as renewable energy, climate change adaptation, private sector development, technical education, biodiversity, governance, and displacement.
The Green Cooling Initiative (GCI) III is a global project that promotes natural refrigerants and energy-efficient solutions to mitigate the climate impact of the cooling sector. Commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and implemented by GIZ, the GCI III project supports partner countries, including Bangladesh, in addressing challenges associated with adopting green cooling technologies. The project provides technical support, policy advice, and capacity building to accelerate the shift towards sustainable cooling.
GIZ seeks a vendor to supply, install and commission “30 (Thirty) Air-conditioning (AC) units using R290 refrigerant” in several commercial buildings across various locations within Dhaka City.
Following tasks need to be performed under this contract-

The minimum qualification of interested vendors can be determined by the followings:
Instructions to the bidders:
- Bidders must submit product catalogues for the proposed R290 ACs.
- If selected, the vendor will be responsible for the delivery, installation, commission and maintenance (during the warranty period) of the units.
- Installation and commissioning have to be carried out within 7-working days from the date of receipt of installation instructions from GIZ/ the relevant government authority
- The bidder must provide a minimum one-year replacement guarantee, a 10-year compressor warranty, and one-year free service from the date of installation.
- The bidder has to fulfil all the technical specifications as given in the technical specification document
Eligibility of the Bidder
1) The bidder must have experience in the production and/or assembly of Air-conditioning units.
2) The bidder must demonstrate prior experience with air conditioner installation in commercial buildings.

- Supporting documents of the minimum qualification such as a copy of a valid trade license, VAT, TIN certificates, Tax Return certificates, valid authorization certificate, and any other document, etc. (as applicable).
