The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is our main commissioning party, but we also work with the private sector, fostering successful interaction between development policy and foreign trade.
GIZ invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable consulting company for providing training, advisory and onsite backstopping support to 150 textile and readymade garment factories in Bangladesh to improve compliance with social and environmental standards for obtaining a relevant certification in accordance with the Green Button initiative. The minimum qualification of interested company can be determined by followings:
- The consulting company to be assigned for the project should have prior orientation of key aspects of sustainability, especially on social responsibilities, economic capabilities and ecological balance including minimally five (05) years of experiences on implementation of standards i.e. ISO 9001 QMS / ISO 14001 EMS / ISO 45001 OHSMS standard and Chemical and Hazardous Material Management and hands on experience to help textile and readymade garment factories for developing documentation, implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) of any audit and conducting trainings to capacitate factory management, supervisors and workers on various social and environmental standards.
- The consulting company to be assigned for the project should have sound experience in the textile supply chain and proven track record for providing support to the manufacturing factories in achieving Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) and other relevant certification.
- The consulting company to be assigned for the project preferably should have prior work experiences with GIZ and doner agencies.
- The consulting company to be assigned for the project is able to use innovative, participatory methodology for conducting training for the adult participants.
