The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is our main commissioning party, but we also work with the private sector, fostering successful interaction between development policy and foreign trade. The current German Development Cooperation (GDC) priority aims to increase the resilience of particularly vulnerable population groups to the consequences of climate change. It is imperative that, the consequences of the climate change impact and associated vulnerability aspects shall be forecasted and addressed aiming for at least for the next 10 years. With this background a technical cooperation (TC) module Climate Resilient Inclusive Smart Cities (CRISC) has been designed explicitly ensures both investment project of selected urban cities take climate risks into account, in addition the TC contributes in reducing the proportion of people who are vulnerable to the impact of climate change through appropriate risk reduction measures that are prioritized in the respect of city budget planning. The project will primarily focus among the several Paurashavas and city corporations in Bangladesh.

GIZ invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable individual national consulting firm for the “Consulting Assignment for Conduction of Training of Trainers (TOT) for development of successful future trainers under the support of CRISC project”.

The tenderer is required to assign qualified consultants for the positions (‘experts’) referred to and described here in contractor work/service and qualifications on the basis of corresponding CVs. The qualifications listed below are the requirements for the leading experts of the assignment achieving the maximum number of points in the specialist assessment.

  • The firm must have proven expertise and experience to work within international development cooperation frameworks in combination of adult teaching-learning process, identify gap for capacity development, designing of trainings, TOT, workshop facilitation services
  • Direct working experience with LGED, in the urban and rural government level in Bangladesh is necessary
  • Extensive experience and expertise in training, TOT design, conduction, development of Information Education & Communication materials (IEC) and quality assessment as well as report writing in English
  • Extensive experience will be required in translation of reports/ documents/ IEC materials in Bangla to English and vice versa
  • Proposed expert for the development of trainings must have University degree (master´s) in Educational sciences, Training, Management studies, Geography, Urban Planning, Social sciences or similar relevant fields, Min. 20 years of experience in the relevant fields within his/her proposed assigned responsibilities. Proposed expert must have 10 years of professional experience in the design and conduction of trainings with TOT and 5 years of professional experience in development of IEC materials
  • Proposed expert for this TOT must have experience in adult learning approaches and working experience in higher level of government officials.
