Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH provides services worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and has over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including economic development and employment promotion, energy and the environment, and peace and security. The diverse expertise of our federal enterprise is in demand around the globe – from the German Government, European Union institutions, the United Nations, the private sector and governments of other countries.

This specific assignment is part of the implementation of a project called “Shurokkha-Advocacy for Employment Injury Insurance (EII)”, commissioned is by the Laudes Foundation (previously named C&A Foundation). The long-term objective of the project is to develop an advocacy and media strategy to foster a political consensus for the introduction of an EII among representatives of civil society organizations, employers and the Government of Bangladesh. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroot support for an EII, create awareness regarding the benefits of an EII among workers and strengthen the capacity of the civil society organisations as well as media representatives for effective agenda-setting.

In this regard, GIZ invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable Bangladeshi Firms with experience in communication strategy development and implementation for Shurokkha. As a first step, the firms must submit documents proving the following minimum qualifications:

  • Average annual turnover for the last three (03) financial years must be minimum 200,000.00 EUR
  • Number of employees as of 31 December 2019 must be minimum 10
  • The firms must submit reference project (agreement or contracts as proof) with a minimum value of 20,000.00 EUR, of which-
  • At least 3 communication strategy development and implementation projects as reference;
  • Minimum 2 reference projects in worker mobilization in the textile sector in the last three years;
